Internal Sales Representative – Electric Motors, VSD's and Drives

TECO is a highly reputable global organisation that has been operating for over 30 years in Australia and is the industry leader in Electric Motors.  TECO is not only renowned as a leading heavy electrical industrial brand, but also a leading manufacturer of home appliances.  Currently, TECO Australia has a strong presence in NSW, VIC, WA and QLD, with over 110 staff across the country.

 

We are currently recruiting for a Sales Engineer within our Victoria office located in Bayswater to grow sales of VSD's and motor drive packages in assigned territories, market segments and industries. The successful candidate will join a highly motivated sales team, which is achieving outstanding success in maintaining the company's prominence within the electric motors industry.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Grow sales and margins.
  • Improve Teco's share of existing customers' purchases.
  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client's organization..
  • Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network.
  • Research and build relationships with new clients.
  • Provide the engineering support / expertise needed to solve the client's problems and foster confidence in Teco.
  • Provide applications engineering support, as well as first level commissioning and troubleshooting assistance.
  • Work with the internal team to develop proposals that meet the client's needs and objectives, as well as overcome their objections.
  • Participate in pricing decisions, solution and service offering.
  • Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately.
  • Present new products and services and enhance existing relationships.

 

You will have:

  • Tertiary level Engineering qualification is essential.
  • Sound call cycle planning skills. 
  • Strong sales lead generation and conversion skills.
  • Ability to develop and manage sales.
  • Presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Interpersonal, listening, questioning and negotiating skills.
  • Ability to identify new business opportunities and close deals.
  • Sound product and market knowledge.
  • Sound technical knowledge of motors and drives
